What kind of projects is this sewing machine suitable for?

The sewing machine is ideal for sewing heavy fabrics such as jeans or leather thanks to its 90 watt motor and double belt drive. Nevertheless, this sewing machine can also sew thin fabric. Although it is capable of sewing several layers of fabric, as a domestic machine it is not suitable for industrial use.

What is the difference between the Power Stitch 17 and Power Stitch PRO?

The two sewing machines offer 17 stitch programs and are identical in their technical data. They differ from each other in terms of color and the accessories supplied.

How fast can you sew with Power Stitch 17?

This sewing machine sews up to 750 stitches per minute.


Functions

Can the stitch length and width be adjusted?

The stitch length can be individually adjusted from 0-4 mm. The stitch width is predefined for each stitch type, only the zigzag stitch varies between 0 and 5 mm.

Is there a function for sewing backwards?

Yes, there is a reverse sewing button for sewing seam beginnings and ends.

Is it possible to adjust the thread tension?

Yes, the thread tension is set using a rotary dial on the top of the machine, the default setting of which is “4”. The correct setting is important for good sewing results and depends on the fabric/stitch combination.

Can I adjust the presser foot pressure?

Yes, turn the control counterclockwise to reduce the pressure for thin fabrics and clockwise to increase the pressure for heavy fabrics.

Is the needle position adjustable?

No. The needle position cannot be adjusted individually (left, center, right)

How do I select a stitch pattern?

To select a stitch, simply turn the stitch selection dial. The stitch selection dial can be turned in both directions: For a straight stitch, select “|” on the stitch selection dial. For a zigzag stitch, select “⦚” on the stitch selection dial.
To select the other stitch patterns, turn the stitch length dial to the “S1” or “S2” position and select the desired stitch pattern on the stitch selection dial.


Maintenance

How do you clean the machine?

The sewing machine must be disconnected from the power supply for maintenance and cleaning. The throat plate can be removed and the feed dog and bobbin case cleaned with a brush. The hook should be regularly cleaned of lint and thread remnants and lubricated with sewing machine oil (not included! Do not use regular cooking oil!). It is important to maintain the machine regularly to ensure a long service life.

What is the non-stick foot?

The non-stick foot has a special coating and is ideal for fabrics that are difficult to transport, such as leather, foam, plastic, artificial leather and plastic-coated fabrics.
