The sewing machine must be unplugged for maintenance and cleaning. The needle plate can be removed and the feed dog and bobbin case cleaned with a brush. The hook should be regularly cleaned of lint and thread residue and lubricated with sewing machine oil (not included! Do not use regular cooking oil!). It is important to maintain the machine regularly to ensure a long service life.
