Can I create my own patches with the VERITAS Florence?

Yes, the VERITAS Florence is very well suited for the production of individual patches or patches. You can either use embroidery motifs from the app, import them or design them yourself using the appropriate programs. A sturdy patch fabric and often an additional stabilizer are used to create patches. After embroidering, the patch is cut out and either sewn over with a zigzag stitch or covered with iron-on foil so that it can be ironed onto textiles. Appliqués, where pieces of fabric are embroidered onto another piece of fabric, are also possible. The machine can also embroider border patterns for patches, or the border can be sewn with a zigzag stitch.

Functions

What does the automatic sewing function (Auto-Lock button) mean?

The automatic sewing function makes it possible to lock the start and end of the seam by sewing several times in the same place, creating a knot that secures the seam. This function eliminates the need to sew forwards and backwards several times at the start and end of a seam.

Does the machine have an upper and lower thread sensor?

Yes, the machine has a sensor that indicates when the upper or lower thread breaks or runs out.

Is it possible to adjust the thread tension?

Yes, the thread tension is basically automated, but can also be adjusted manually. The basic setting is “4”. There are separate settings for sewing and embroidery

Software

Where can I download the MyPatterns app?

The “MyPatterns” app is required to control the VERITAS Florence and can be downloaded here:
Android: LINK
iOs: LINK

Why do I need the MyPatterns app?

All settings, selecting stitch patterns, customizing embroidery motifs and starting/stopping the sewing or embroidery process are controlled via the app. The app can also be used to import embroidery files, adjust colors and edit designs.

How do I connect my VERITAS Florence to the MyPatterns app?

The connection between the machine and the mobile device can be established via a direct WLAN connection (point-to-point) or via an existing WLAN network (router mode). This enables flexible and modern control of the machine.

WIFI

Why does my sewing machine need WIFI?

An active WIFI connection is required to use all the functions of the VERITAS Florence and to control the machine from a tablet/smartphone. It is also a prerequisite for carrying out software updates.

How do I connect the VERITAS Florence to the WLAN?

The VERITAS Florence offers two options for connecting to a smartphone or tablet:

  • Point-to-point connection: This direct wifi connection enables communication between the mobile device and the machine without an internet connection. Here, a separate WiFi connection is established that begins with EMB_FN.
  • Router mode: In this mode, the machine is integrated into the existing Wi-Fi network, which means that Internet access is maintained on the mobile device and the app can therefore also use other functions such as importing new embroidery files.

When setting up for the first time, it is important to use the correct Wi-Fi password and to ensure that the machine firmware and the app are up to date.
