- The stitch width is infinitely variable from 0.0 to 7.0 mm.

Does VERITAS Claire have an automatic sewing function (Auto-Lock)?

Yes, the VERITAS Claire has an auto-lock function, also known as the automatic sewing function. This function is used to secure the start and end of a seam.

What does the automatic sewing function (Auto-Lock button) mean?

The automatic sewing function makes it possible to lock the start and end of the seam by sewing several times in the same place, creating a knot that secures the seam. This function eliminates the need to sew forwards and backwards several times at the start and end of a seam.

The thread tension adjusts automatically, but can also be set manually.

Is there a start/stop button?

Maintenance

How do you clean the machine?

The sewing machine must be disconnected from the power supply for maintenance and cleaning. The throat plate can be removed and the feed dog and bobbin case cleaned with a brush. The hook should be regularly cleaned of lint and thread remnants and lubricated with sewing machine oil (not included! Do not use regular cooking oil!). It is important to maintain the machine regularly to ensure a long service life.

The LCD display and the surface of the machine should be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, a damp cloth with a little neutral detergent can be used.

Accessories

Which accessories are included in the scope of delivery?

The Veritas Claire comes with a comprehensive accessory pack suitable for both beginners and experienced sewers. Here is a detailed list of the accessories included:

All-purpose foot, zipper foot, 1-step buttonhole foot, overlock foot, blindstitch foot, satin stitch foot, button presser foot, roller foot, branded needles, jeans & leather needle, seam ripper, second spool pin, quilting guide, 3 spools, screwdriver, L-screwdriver, spool cap small & large, felt pad for spool, fell seam plate, cleaning brush

What is a roller base needed for?

The roller foot is a special presser foot that has been developed for sewing difficult materials. It differs from other presser feet due to its roller(s) on the underside, which transport the material better when sewing. The roller foot prevents the material from sticking to the foot or shifting. It not only feeds smooth materials very well, but also soft materials such as Thermolam.

What is a blindstitch foot used for?

The blind stitch foot is a special presser foot that was developed for sewing invisible hems. It is used to sew hems so that the seam on the right side of the fabric is barely visible or not visible at all.

Why do you need a satin stitch foot?

The satin stitch foot is a special presser foot developed for sewing satin stitches and other decorative stitches. It is characterized by a continuous notch on the underside. This notch allows the foot to glide easily over the thickness of the stitch shape created by closely spaced zigzag stitches and to feed the fabric evenly.
